Driver charged over Workington crash death

A man has been charged with causing the death of a 61-year-old driver who died following a crash in Cumbria.

The collision, between a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Golf, happened on Honister Drive in Workington on Wednesday.

James McKenzie, from Workington, was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.

Lee Walley, 35, also from Workington, who was driving the Golf, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been bailed to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on 28 May.
