Man dies in Cumbria motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist died when his bike came off the road in Cumbria.

Cumbria Police said the 63-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on the A683 between Kirkby Lonsdale and Sedbergh on Sunday.

A force spokesman said the dead man, who has not yet been named, was from the Accrington area. No other vehicle was involved in the incident.

A section of the road was closed for several hours. Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
