Reays buses expands into Lake District creating 20 jobs

A Cumbrian bus and coach firm is expanding its services into the Lake District, creating 20 jobs.

Wigton-based Reays will begin running a seven days a week service from Keswick to Bowness from 4 June.

From 3 July, the firm will also introduce a new early morning service from Carlisle to Penrith and from Penrith to Keswick.

Managing director Chris Reay said: "We are now looking to move into the heart of the Lake District."

The family-run company currently employs more than 100 people.
