Two charged over Wetheral post office raid

Two Carlisle men have been charged over a post office raid in Cumbria.

Police were called to the branch in the village of Wetheral near Carlisle on 29 June, when they found a woman member of staff shocked, but unhurt.

Cumbria Police said at the time an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken during the raid.

A 24-year-old man from Morton and a 20-year-old from Harker Park have been charged with robbery and remanded until a court appearance on 18 September.
