Malcolm John Boddington will be 'sadly missed'

The family of a man who died after his car left a road in south Cumbria said he will be "sadly missed".

Malcolm John Boddington, 64, from Barrow in Furness died in hospital after his car came off the A5087 in Barrow and ended up on a verge.

His family said: "We are all devastated by this tragedy and the loss of Malcolm will leave a large hole in our lives."

Cumbria Police appealed for witnesses to the incident that took place on Wednesday at about 17:00 GMT.

His family said in a statement: "Malcolm moved, with his partner, to Barrow in 1995 from Bridgewater, Somerset.

"Malcolm was a loving partner, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be sadly missed by all."
