Family tribute to 'loyal' Bardsea man Henry Morphet

The family of a pedestrian who died when he was struck by a car in Cumbria, have paid tribute to a "loyal and dedicated" man.

Henry Morphet, 76, from Bardsea, was hit on the A5087 coastal road near Ulverston on Saturday morning.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old woman from Ulverston, was uninjured.

In a tribute, Mr Morphet's family described him as a "wonderful" dad, granddad and great granddad and a "friend to everyone".

The road was closed for five hours to allow investigations to take place.
