Two Cumbria roads get £120,000 resurfacing work

Improvement work costing more than £120,000 is to be carried out on two main roads in south Cumbria.

The county council is repairing the A685, near Kendal, and the A683 at Middleton.

Diversions will be in place on the A685 from 19:00 GMT until 07:00 on Wednesday while resurfacing work is carried out.

Maintenance on the A683 will also begin later and take place over four nights, finishing early on Friday, a council spokesman said.
