Cumbria M6 amphetamine seizure sees London man charged

A man has been charged with a drugs offence after amphetamine with a street value of about £300,000 was seized on the M6 in Cumbria.

Police stopped a car near junction 44 of the M6 on Friday evening and seized 62lb (28kg) of amphetamine.

A 46-year-old man from London was arrested.

The man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and will appear before Carlisle magistrates later.
