Five teenagers charged with robberies in Derbyshire

Five teenagers have been charged with a number of robberies and attempted robberies with weapons in Derbyshire.

Victims were threatened with baseball bats or knives during 12 incidents at three locations in Derby and south Derbyshire in April 2010.

The offences took place in Park Lane, Littleover, Vicarage Park, Mickleover and Carriers Lane in Egginton.

One 16-year-old from Egginton has been charged along with four males aged 18, 17 and two aged 16 from Willington.

They have all been charged with various counts of robbery and attempted robbery and are expected to appear before Derby magistrates on 13 August.
