The car, with an officer at the wheel, was parked in Peveril Road, Tibshelf, in the early hours of Sunday when it was damaged in the incident.

Shortly afterwards a suspect vehicle was found in Derwent Drive and a man was arrested in nearby fields.

A woman was later charged with driving while disqualified, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

She was also charged with failing to provide a sample and possession of cannabis.

She is due to appear before magistrates in Chesterfield later.
