Inquiry starts over Rolls-Royce plant fire in Derby

An investigation has begun into the cause of a fire which broke out at a former Rolls-Royce building in Derby.

Firefighters were called to the premises in Nightingale Road shortly after 1300 BST.

The Old Main Works site ceased operations in 2005 and demolition of the building is currently under way.

A Rolls-Royce spokesman said: "Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service quickly dealt with the incident and there were no injuries."
