Two men arrested over Alvaston body find

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old man in Derby.

Officers were called to Chalkley Close in Alvaston just before 1500 BST on Monday to reports a man was hurt. Despite treatment, he died soon after.

The man, who has not been formally identified, died from knife wounds.

Police arrested two men, aged 38 and 36, and both from Derby, on Monday afternoon. They are being held in custody and will be questioned later.

A police spokeswoman said an incident room has been set up at St Mary's Wharf police station in the city.

Officers are carrying out house to house inquiries and forensic examinations are being carried out at the scene.
