Alvaston stab death man is named by police

A man who died from knife wounds in a Derby street has been named by police.

Lee Samra, 34, from Sinfin, was found in Chalkley Close, Alvaston, on Monday afternoon but was pronounced dead soon afterwards.

Police said the weapon used, described as a small knife, had not been found and appealed for witnesses.

A 38-year-old man arrested on Monday remains in police custody, while a 36-year-old man, arrested at the same time, has been released without charge.
