Man arrested after cannabis raid in Alvaston

A 23-year-old man has been arrested following a drugs raid at a house in a Derby suburb.

Officers found a "large quantity" of suspected cannabis during the search of the property in Benson Street, Alvaston on Wednesday morning.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said drugs paraphernalia and cash were also discovered at the house.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

He remains in police custody.
