Icy conditions keep Peak District roads disrupted

  • Published

Some roads in the Peak District in Derbyshire remain affected by snow and ice.

The A6024 Holme Moss Road was shut on Tuesday between the A628 Woodhead Pass junction in High Peak and the A635 Greenfield Road junction in Upperthong.

Hazardous driving conditions were also reported on the A57 Snake Pass in both directions between Bamford and the Hurst Road junction in Glossop.

Motorists have been advised to take extra care on the roads.

Elsewhere, Morley Road in Oakwood, Derby, was closed in both directions between the Acorn Way junction and Sovereign Way because of ice and a burst water main.
