An e-fit of a man who was chased from an attempted car theft in Derbyshire has been released by police.

The suspect stole keys from an address on Millfield, Shardlow, on 21 December and drove off in an Alfa Romeo which was parked on the drive.

It crashed into several parked cars before the owner chased it into a nearby road and grabbed the driver, who got out and fled.

Officers appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The offender was described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5ft 10in (1.78m) and 6ft (1.83m) tall with light brown gelled hair.

He wore a two-tone blue Adidas tracksuit and white trainers.
