Chesterfield school drivers warned over fines

  • Published

Parents who park unlawfully near a Derbyshire school faced being fined, police have warned.

Drivers have been waiting in no vehicle zones and mounting pavements at the Spire Junior School on St Augustine's Avenue, Chesterfield.

Officers said this restricts access to the school and also limits visibility for children crossing the road.

Extra patrols will initially warn motorists but will hand out £30 fines if problems persists.
