Body recovered from River Derwent 'is missing man'

A body discovered in the River Derwent near Derby at the weekend is believed to be that of a missing man.

Police were called out to the river near Raynesway on 7 February by a dog walker.

Although a formal identification has yet to be completed, officers said they were satisfied it was Joe Taylor, 62.

Mr Taylor was last seen at his home in Sunnyhill on 12 January. It is not currently believed there are any suspicious circumstances.
