Bradwell woman, 66, robbed by knife intruder


A 66-year-old Derbyshire woman was robbed at knifepoint by an intruder who broke into the victim's home.

The woman was upstairs at her home in Netherside, Bradwell, on Wednesday evening when she realised a man was standing behind her holding a knife.

He threatened her and as she ran past him and down the stairs he followed her and punched her in the face before escaping with a quantity of cash.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

He remains in police custody and is being questioned by officers.

Police said the victim suffered bruising to her arm and a cut lip.
