Ambergate crash death pedestrian named

A 78-year-old pedestrian who was killed in a road collision in Derbyshire has been named.

Florence Crofts, from Marsh Lane, Belper, was crossing Derby Road in Ambergate on Thursday evening when the crash happened.

The male driver of a VW Beetle was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail.

Officers said they still wanted to hear from any witnesses.
