Man injured in unprovoked attack in Long Eaton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered head injuries in an unprovoked attack in Derbyshire.

The 37-year-old man was walking in Long Eaton when he was attacked by two men, who punched him in the head before walking off.

The victim went to a nearby house where the homeowner called police after the attack at 2130 BST on 6 April.

The man suffered a fractured eye socket, fractured cheek and was treated at Queen's Medical Centre.

He has described his attackers as white, about 5ft 9ins tall and in their early 20s.

One had short, dark hair and the other, who had a shaved head, wore a light coloured tracksuit.
