Empty homes in Amber Valley to be rented after grant approved

Empty homes in Derbyshire are to be repaired and rented out after a £210,000 government grant was approved.

At least 30 privately owned properties in Amber Valley would see up to £7,000 spent per house by a housing group.

Futures Homescape, which has been working with Amber Valley Borough Council, would manage the letting for a five-year period.

The council's empty property officer said the scheme would help owners struggling to revamp their rental home.
