Derbyshire voters await poll results

Residents in some parts of Derbyshire are waiting for results of the vote in the 2012 local elections.

In Derby, 17 seats are being contested, one third of all the city council's seats.

In Amber Valley, residents cast their votes for 15 seats, again one third of the borough council's total number of seats.

The results from both councils will be counted through the night, after polls closed at 22:00 BST.
