A Derbyshire father has again been remanded in custody after he appeared in court charged with murdering his seven-month-old son.

Nathan Pick, 37, of Waterford Drive in Chaddesden, is accused of killing the baby boy, who was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital last Tuesday.

The baby, also of Waterford Drive, was transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham but later died.

Mr Pick is due to next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 7 June.

A post-mortem examination on the nine-month-old boy will take place later.
