Ashover collision kills one and injures four

A 16-year-old boy has died and four people have been taken to hospital after a car crash in Derbyshire.

The collision, between a Vauxhall Corsa and a Peugeot 206, happened on the A632 Matlock Road near Ashover at 23:10 BST on Thursday.

Police said the teenage Peugeot passenger died later and another male passenger from the same car is in a critical condition.

The car's male driver is also in hospital with multiple fractures.

Two males from the Corsa were treated for minor injuries. Police have appealed for witnesses.
