A cyclist has died following a crash at a Derbyshire beauty spot.

The woman, who has not been named, struck a dry stone wall at the bottom of Winnats Pass in the High Peak area, just after 16:00 BST on Saturday.

The road, near the town of Castleton, is known for its steep incline and high rocky outcrops.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened close to the entrance to Speedwell Cavern, to contact them.
