New council houses may be built in Mid Devon

A number of new council houses could be in the pipeline for mid Devon if councillors agree to apply for full planning permission for a scheme.

Mid Devon District Council has pinpointed a number of sites - in Willand and in the the Watery Lane and Round Hill areas of Tiverton.

Initial investigations have already been carried out into the suitability of the sites for council housing.

Councillors will meet later to decide on seeking full planning permission.
