Combe Martin holidaymaker hurt after falling on rocks

A man is being treated in hospital for head injuries after an accident in north Devon on Saturday.

Swansea Coastguard Coastguard Agency co-ordinated the rescue from Combe Martin, near Ilfracombe, at about 1530 BST on Saturday.

The 49-year-old, who was on holiday in the area, was injured when he fell and hit his head on rocks.

An RAF helicopter from RMB Chivenor airlifted him to North Devon District Hospital for treatment.

The man's condition is not known.
