Arrest after Plymouth air rifle shooting


Armed officers have arrested a man and seized an air rifle after a shooting incident in Plymouth.

Police were called to the Efford area of the city at about 1900 BST on Wednesday.

A man told officers he narrowly missed being shot while at the junction of Channel View Avenue and Efford Road.

Police said they established the direction the shot was fired from and entered a property in Higher Efford Road. A 42-year-old man was arrested.

No-one was injured and no property was damaged, police said.
