Okehampton compensation call for sewage work

  • Published

Shopkeepers in Okehampton are calling for compensation after road closures by South West Water (SWW).

The traders say their turnover dipped as a result of the work to improve 4,000m (13,123ft), of the town's sewers.

The work took about seven weeks to complete.

SWW said that because of the location of the sewer, it had to close roads and it had done all it could to keep disruption to a minimum.
