New Paignton library has cafe and garden

A £6.4m library has opened in Paignton with a cafe, garden, internet access and a meeting space.

The project has been funded by Torbay Council and the Big Lottery Fund.

Mayor of Torbay, Nick Bye, said it would "encourage wider regeneration in the town".

Library staff have moved more than 18,000 books and 2,000 other items including CDs and DVDs from the old library in Courtland Road.
