Boy, 14, dies after collapsing in Plymouth

A 14-year-old boy has died after collapsing in Plymouth.

Police and an ambulance crew were called to Wolseley Road, near St Budeaux, on Saturday evening.

The teenager, who has not been named, was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2000 BST.

Police said the boy had been with friends at the time and added that although the death was unexplained, it was not being treated as suspicious.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the teenager's death.
