Funeral of mystery death teenager

A 14-year-old boy who collapsed and died in Plymouth earlier this month has been laid to rest.

Rob Aitken, from Barne Barton, collapsed at at fast food outlet on 9 October and died shortly after at Derriford Hospital.

Results of a post-mortem examination were inconclusive and further tests are being carried out, but police are not treating the death as suspicious.

The funeral was held at St Andrew's Church in Plymouth.

Rob was a student at the city's Coombe Dean School.

Head teacher Pattrick Frean said Rob's tragic death had devastated staff and students alike, who described Rob as "happy", "smiling" and "funny".

A police spokesman told BBC News the circumstances surrounding the teenager's death are still being investigated.
