Overnight flooding confined to isolated areas of Devon
Some isolated flooding has been reported after heavy overnight rain in Devon.
The Met Office had issued a severe weather warning for the area on Friday, but there were no major incidents.
Flooding earlier in the week had led to fears that heavy rain falling on saturated ground could lead to more problems.
Devon County Council said there was some flooding around the Exeter and Newton Abbot areas.
A council spokesman told BBC News: "These were isolated and in the usual low-lying areas or where drains had become blocked."
He said some motorists experienced problems when cars cut out while driving through deep surface water, but no-one was trapped.
"By about 0200 GMT the worst was over with the rain tracking north," he added.
The Environment Agency has no flood warnings or watches currently in force on rivers in Devon.
