Hundreds of Santas in Plymouth charity run

About 500 people dressed as Santa Claus have taken part in a charity fun run through Plymouth.

It was one of a number of Santa races held throughout the country on Sunday to raise money for charity.

Diabetes UK and the Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) will be the main beneficiaries of the Plymouth run.

CHSW is building a home for children affected by terminal diseases. Harbour House is due to open near St Austell in Cornwall in 2011.
