Shooting in Plymouth was 'attempted murder'
A shooting in Devon is being treated as attempted murder, police have confirmed.
A man in his 50s was found with gunshot wounds at a house in the Derriford area of Plymouth on Wednesday 9 December.
Detectives from the Plymouth Major Crime Investigation Team have been assigned to the case and said they had a "number of positive lines of inquiry."
The victim is in a stable condition in hospital, a police spokesman said.
The senior investigating officer, Det Insp Costa Nassaris, said: "I can confirm that there is no evidence of any forced entry to the property in question.
"Additional patrols will be undertaken in the area and I can reassure the public regarding their safety."
