Man in court on murder attempt charge after shooting

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Plymouth.
John David Pitcher, from Glade Close, Plymouth, has also been charged with fraud, Plymouth Magistrates' Court heard.
A 56-year-old man suffered shotgun wounds at a house in Glade Close on 9 December. His injuries were described by police as "life-changing".
Mr Pitcher was remanded in custody to appear at a crown court next year.
Police said they had recovered a weapon and ammunition they had been searching for in connection with the shooting.
