Many swimmers were in fancy dress costumes, including a giant jelly fish
About 120 swimmers defied freezing conditions to take a bracing dip in the sea for charity.
The event, organised by the Lions Club of Paignton, attracted a number of people in fancy dress, including a giant jelly fish, pirates and angels.
But the award for the best fancy dress went to someone dressed as James Bond.
The Lions Club said it was "very appreciative" of the turnout as several hundred more people enjoyed watching the spectacle from the beach.
