An overturned lorry caused a long traffic tailback on the A38 near Plymouth in Devon.

Both westbound lanes were closed after the lorry spilt its load of tarmac at the Deep Lane junction, Plympton, at 0940 GMT.

The driver was treated at Derriford Hospital for serious chest injuries but his condition is not life-threatening.

Fire crews made three propane cylinders safe and helped clear the road of tarmac.
