Five vehicles collide on the A38 in Plymouth

Five vehicles have been involved in a collision on the A38 in Devon.

It is not clear if anyone has been injured but the eastbound carriageway at St Budeaux near the Tamar Bridge in Plymouth has been completely closed.

One lane of the westbound carriageway has also been blocked off to traffic.

The first collision is thought to have happened shortly after 1115 GMT. The emergency services are at the scene and police have warned drivers to find an alternative route.
