Devon wife accused of attempting to murder ill husband

A 65-year-old former standard bearer for the British Legion has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of her husband.

Margaret Sandercock is accused of attempting to murder her husband Graham who has had Parkinson's Disease since 1983.

The alleged incident happened in Crediton, Devon, in July 2010.

Mrs Sandercock was granted conditional bail and will reappear at Exeter Crown Court next month.
