Exmouth attacks: Man on attempted murder charge

A man has been charged with attempted murder after three people were attacked in a Devon town.

Police were called to Bystock Road in Exmouth early on Saturday morning.

A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. A 45-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were also injured, police said.

A man has been charged with attempted murder, two assaults causing actual bodily harm, breach of a restraining order and criminal damage.

The 45-year-old woman and young man were being comforted by relatives, police said.
