Path work and tree felling to improve Paignton woods

More than 3,000m (3,300yds) of pathway work is being carried out in woods in south Devon as part of a project by a conservation charity.

The Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust claimed the work, at Scadson Woods in Paignton, would improve access.

The trust said it was also felling a dense larch plantation.

The move aimed to prevent diseases such as Sudden Oak Death spreading and allow more sunlight into the woods for wildlife.
