Motorcross bikes worth £39k taken from Exeter shop

Seven new motorcross bikes worth nearly £39,000 have been taken from a Devon shop, police have said.

The orange and white KTM bikes were taken from Albion Motorcycles, Hennock Road Central, in Exeter, at about 01:45 BST on Tuesday.

The force said it was believed the bikes were pushed from the shop to Clapperbrook Lane in Alphington.

The bikes range from 85cc to 350cc models. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the police.

The Devon and Cornwall force said a member of the public reported seeing three new ATM bikes in a hedge near Shillingford St George at about 07:30 BST.

But they added the bikes had been loaded into a two-tonne grey transit-style van before police arrived.
