A fire at stables in Devon is being treated as suspicious by emergency services.

The fire service said it received about 12 calls alerting it to the blaze at Parkhill Cross in Ipplepen, near Newton Abbot, at about 21:40 BST on Saturday.

On arrival, crews found the 15m by 15m (50ft by 50ft) structure in a field well alight. A number of horses were found unharmed in the field.

The fire was believed to have been started deliberately, the service said.
