Safety cordon as crews tackle barn fire at Widecombe farm

Firefighters have tackled a blaze involving gas cylinders, diesel fuel and cooking oil at a farm in Devon.

Emergency services were called to Holwell Farm, Widecombe, just before 06:30 BST.

A safety cordon of 100m (328ft) was set up when the fire began to spread to an adjacent building on the farm.

No-one was hurt but the Environment Agency has been called in to deal with a fuel run-off into fields from a 5,000 litre diesel tank which was leaking.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said a command unit and more fire appliances were deployed after crews confirmed acetylene cylinders were involved and 3,000 litres of cooking oil were stored in the building.
