Torrington crash closes A386 for eight hours

A road in north Devon has been closed for more than eight hours after a collision between a car and a lorry.

The vehicles collided on the A386 at Little Torrington at about 14:00 BST on Friday.

The male car driver was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by air ambulance.

His condition was described as critical, Devon and Cornwall Police said. The road was closed for a police investigation.
