Suspected arson attack at derelict Torquay hotel

A fire at a derelict hotel in south Devon is being treated as arson, fire officers have said.

Fire broke in a ground-floor bathroom of the two-storey building in Old Torwood Road, Torquay, on Tuesday afternoon.

It was brought under control by three crews by 17:00 BST and police were informed, Devon Fire Service said.

The bathroom was severely damaged by the fire and adjoining rooms were damaged by smoke.
