Girl kicked outside Leigham Primary School in Plymouth

A 10-year-old girl has been assaulted by a man in an "unprovoked attack" outside a primary school in Plymouth.

The girl was kicked in the groin outside Leigham Primary School on Wednesday between 15:00-15:25 BST, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The man, who is described as between 15 and 20 years old, also threatened the girl before running off.

Pc Laura Totterdell said it was a "horrendous attack" that left her "suffering from nightmares".

The suspect is described as white, with brown hair and wearing a black cap, grey hoodie, dark blue jeans and white trainers.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
