Two men arrested after rape in Exeter city centre

Two men have been arrested by police investigating the rape of a woman in Exeter city centre.

The woman was attacked between 01:00 and 02:00 BST on Tuesday in a lane that joins Sidwell Street and King William Street.

The scene was cordoned off by officers for several hours.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they had arrested and questioned the men in connection with the incident before releasing them on bail until November.
